The full-day private version of the Nadi sightseeing circuit — 6 to 7 hours in a dedicated vehicle covering the mud pools at Sabeto, a traditional Fijian village, the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, shopping, and an extension to the Coral Coast. It’s Iconic Fiji Tours’ most comprehensive single-day offering in the Nadi area, and the private format means pace and sequence can flex to your group’s preferences.

At $172 for a private full-day experience, it represents good value relative to private tour pricing in the region.

What the tour covers

Sabeto Mud Pools

Warm volcanic mud applied to the skin, followed by a cool rinse pool and a soak in the natural hot spring — the Sabeto geothermal experience is one of the more distinctive half-hours available near Nadi. Wear swimwear under clothes from the start.

Traditional Fijian village

Your guide manages the village entry protocol and introduction, providing context on iTaukei culture: the mataqali (clan) system, the role of the village chief, and the relationship between traditional structures and contemporary Fijian life. Modest dress — covered shoulders and knees — is appropriate.

Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple

The largest Hindu temple in the Southern Hemisphere, with a gopuram tower painted in vivid Dravidian style. An active place of worship maintained by Fiji’s Indo-Fijian community. Shoes must be removed at the entrance; covered shoulders and knees required.

Garden of the Sleeping Giant

One of the South Pacific’s most extensive tropical orchid gardens, established by American actor Raymond Burr in the 1970s. Thousands of orchid specimens, native Fijian plants, and a boardwalk into adjacent native rainforest. The name derives from the Sabeto mountain ridge behind the garden, which reads as a reclining human profile against the skyline.

Coral Coast extension

A scenic extension to the south coast highway — the Queen’s Road stretch that passes through Sigatoka, along the fringing reef coastline, and toward Pacific Harbour. The additional time of the 6–7 hour format makes the Coral Coast extension viable without rushing.

Shopping

Nadi’s commercial precinct and market area for souvenir and handicraft shopping. The private format means you can spend longer at shopping if your group is inclined, or move through quickly if not.

Why the private format matters

The standard Iconic Fiji Tours Nadi circuit runs as a group tour with a coach. The private version gives you a dedicated vehicle and guide for your group only — the same sites, but at your pace, with stops adjusted to your interests. The difference is most noticeable at the mud pools (where you’re not waiting for a large group) and at the village and temple (where a private guide can spend more time on questions).

Practical notes

Mud pool: swimwear under clothes, towel. The mud is grey and fine-textured — wear something you don’t mind getting dirty over swimwear.

Temple and village: covered shoulders and knees at both.

What to bring: swimwear, towel, modest clothing, camera, FJD cash for markets.
