ATV + Zip Fiji Combo from Nadi - 16 Zip Lines over 5km (Go Dirty)
This is Go Dirty’s big adventure day: a guided ATV ride into the Nausori Highlands followed by a full session at Zip Fiji—one of the Pacific’s most substantial zipline operations, with 16 lines covering roughly 5 kilometres over caves, rainforest canopy, and canyon terrain.
The two activities complement each other well. The ATV section is outdoor and scenery-focused; the zipline section is physically engaging and height-focused. Together they cover most of what an adrenaline-oriented day in inland Fiji can offer, packaged into one booking without you having to co-ordinate two separate operators.
Total time is a full day—around 6–7 hours realistically, including transfers, gearing up, snack breaks, and travel between activity sites.
At a glance
- Duration: ~6–7 hours
- Group size: up to ~20
- Ages: 5–80 (as listed; zipline section may have its own age/size requirements—see below)
- ATV driver requirement: valid full driver’s licence; minimum driving age 18; 16–17 with licence eligible (confirm); under 16 as pillion passenger
- Zipline weight limit: commonly listed up to ~135kg—confirm with operator before booking
- Base: New Town Road, Wailoaloa, near Wailoaloa Beach Resort
- Transfers: free pickup/drop-off in the Denarau–Nadi Airport corridor; paid transfers from Coral Coast and Lautoka
The two halves of the day
Part 1: ATV in the Nausori Highlands (~1.5–2 hours riding)
From the Wailoaloa base, the route runs through Nadi Town—passing the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple, South Pacific’s largest Hindu temple—then off-road into the cane fields, highland tracks, and pine forest above the city. A plateau viewpoint stop with Mamanuca Island views and snacks is typical.
Dry season: dusty, fast, visibility good. Wet season: muddy, slower, memorable. The guide leads; follow their line and spacing.
If recent reviews are anything to go by, this section is consistently described as more fun than expected. The guide photographs the group throughout and shares the shots at the end.
Part 2: Zip Fiji (~2 hours on-site)
Zip Fiji is consistently rated as one of the best zipline operations in the South Pacific. The course runs approximately 5 kilometres across 16 lines, threading over limestone caves, through rainforest canopy, and across canyons in the Nausori Highlands terrain. The lines progress from shorter introductory runs to longer, higher traverses as the course develops.
On arrival, the crew fits harnesses, runs safety checks, and explains braking and body position before the first line. You don’t need previous experience—first-timers are the majority.
What the ~2 hours actually covers: harness fitting and safety briefing (~15–20 minutes), then the 16-line course, with natural pauses at platforms for photos and the crew’s commentary on the environment below. The pace is set by the group; some lines go quickly, others encourage a longer look.
What the day actually feels like (time model)
Itineraries list around 2 hours for the zipline, but the full day is longer because of:
- Check-in, briefing, and test ride at base (~15 minutes)
- ATV ride time with stops (~60–90 minutes)
- Transfer between the ATV section and Zip Fiji
- Harness fitting and safety briefing at Zip Fiji (~20 minutes)
- The 16-line course (~90–100 minutes)
- Snack breaks and travel back to hotel
A realistic mental model is 6–7 hours door-to-door from the Denarau corridor.
Requirements to know before booking

FAQs
Is this too much for one day?
For anyone who’s reasonably active and enjoys both outdoor and adventure activities, no. The activities are physically distinct—riding is passive and scenery-focused; ziplining is active and height-focused—which means they don’t compound fatigue in the same way. That said, it’s a full day in Fiji’s heat. Eat well before you go, stay hydrated throughout, and pace yourself.
I’m nervous about heights—should I skip the zipline?
The course starts with shorter, lower lines before building to the bigger ones, which helps most people acclimatise. Guides are experienced with first-timers and genuinely nervous participants. If you’re very uncomfortable with heights, the ATV-only tour is a worthwhile alternative. If you’re mildly nervous and willing to try, the progressive structure of Zip Fiji is a reasonable introduction.
Do I need prior ATV or zipline experience?
No to both. The ATV test ride and briefing are designed for beginners. The Zip Fiji crew trains every participant before the first line regardless of experience.
